The United Art Students Forgotten Worlds Group, in association with the Santi Sa Kha Buddhist Monastery is planning procession and prayer service at 8 pm August 8, 2011 outside the offices of Senator John McCain located at 2201 East Camelback Road.  The event marks the 23rd anniversary of the Burma Democracy Uprising.  The event is open to the public.

On August 8, 1988, the people of Burma protested the one party rule in the Socialist Republic of the Union of Burma in s series of marches, demonstrations, protests and riots called the 8888 uprising.
